Boys are Boys!

Before I even dreamed to go into academe, I lived a boys dream: fast cars and motorcycles.  I had an apprenticeship at Mercedes Benz Mannheim as a mechanic (Kfz. Schlosser Gesellenbrief) and loved to ride cafe racers and choppers.  In my forming years, my education came handy. Traveling to Australia, I stayed a little longer working in a Mercedes shop. This cash allowed me to extend my travels to the Philippines and Singapore. Back in Germany, I worked in the restoration of classic cars which financed me my extended stay in Sri Lanka. My interest in cultures finally led me to studies in sociology.  Still a kid at heart, today I (re)build my own toys.  You can click on the pictures for details.
